Be A Volunteer

The Camden Opera House takes pride in our many dedicated volunteers that helps us to insure a professional show each and every time. We have 20 – 30 volunteers working to help the Opera House further our goals.

What Do Volunteers Do?

Volunteers sell tickets, usher patrons to their seats, and/or help with the concession and merchandise sales. Volunteers may also provide assistance in the administrative office by visiting our beautiful coastal towns and hanging posters for upcoming events. There are many other miscellaneous ways in which volunteers can help from concert load ins, to facility upkeep to assisting with mailings.

What Type Of Commitment Is Expected Of Volunteer Ushers?

Ushers are expected to arrive 1.5 hours before showtime and are welcome to stay until the end of the show. Any questions that need further answering will be directed to the Camden Opera House Event Manager. Many of the other positions can be done on a case by case basis, or offer a few hours a week more consistently – all dependent on the amount of time you have!!
