Kerry Hadley, Opera House Manager
Kerry HaddleyKerry has almost thirty years of business and arts administration experience, as well as a few forays on the big stage herself!   After working in public relations and publishing in New York City, she directed marketing operations for Theatre by the Sea in Portsmouth, N.H.  She then became the first female executive director of the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce, (having first made it the largest chamber in New England).  Since moving to the Midcoast 25 years ago,  she conducted public relations for various nonprofits till becoming Opera House Manager in 2003 as a 10 hour/week sole employee!!  Kerry attended both Carnegie Mellon University and Ithaca College and has a BA in Communications and Theatre Arts.   She has fond memories of her studies abroad in London with the BBC and in Italy at Cinecitta.   Other fond memories are of directing her two boys with hundreds of other students over six years in the annual Variety show she produced at Owls Head Central School, performances in several shows for the Belfast Maskers and on the Opera House stage.  She finally made the “big time” when she appeared on the Opera House stage in 2013 in Dancing with the Stars.

In her spare time she loves to garden, play tennis, walk her eccentric dogs and sit on a beach doing absolutely nothing but listen to the waves.

As a young man Dave played in bands in Boston and New York City.  He has worked at the Hard Rock Café in Manhattan, and was the Assistant Director of Operations for the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers NY.  Dave has published eleven collections of poetry.

Joining our staff in 2004, Dave has overseen upgrades to the sound and theater light systems, the restoration of our 1928 Steinway grand piano, and the installation of a state-of-the art film system.

Liz Knauer, Promotions Assistant and Box Office Manager
LizLiz began her career at Days Jewelers in Auburn Maine in 1990.   After graduating with a degree in Business Administration, Liz became a buyer for Days traveling to New York and Las Vegas attending trade shows.  She’s a certified Gemologist!    Liz left Days in 2000 to raise her two daughters, working and volunteering wherever she was needed.  Both daughters are actively involved in dance.   We first met Liz when she was a volunteer for Atlantic Ballet’s Nutcracker.  Her skill and calm immediately impressed us and soon she was volunteering for us in the office and box office.  She began employment here as an Event Manager and then grew with the Opera House into today’s expanded role.
