Getting Here
The Opera House is located on Route 1 (29 Elm St.), in the center of the beautiful historic town of Camden, Maine. We are directly across the street from the village green and share our building with the Camden Town Offices. The building is a three-story historic brick structure and “Camden Opera House” appears above the arched doorway in gilded letters.
Driving

From the south: Take I-295 North to exit 22 to the Brunswick/Bath/Coastal Route 1 exit. Travel Route 1 for 43 miles to take a left onto Camden Rd./Rte 90. Travel 11 miles to a left onto Rte 1. Travel 1.9 miles – the Opera House will be on your left .

From the north: Take Route 1 South from Belfast past the library into downtown Camden. The Opera House will be on the second block on your right after you bear right at the main intersection in downtown.
Parking
On-street parking is available on Elm St. (Route 1), Chestnut St., Washington St. and behind the Opera House. There is a 2 hour limit 9 AM – 6 PM, M-F. On-street parking is free, with no time limit, after 6 PM.
Handicapped Access to the Camden Opera House
There is handicapped accessible and wheelchair seating in the orchestra level only. You can also access a regular seat by following the handicapped seating directions. Wheelchair spaces are in Orchestra Rows A and B, House Left. To access, take elevator in the main sidewalk level lobby to the second floor (main lobby level). Ask for the Opera House House Manager, who can assist you. You will enter the auditorium on the left-hand side and continue all the way forward to the stage and to the right to the seating. The Katherine Aldridge Tucker Room is also handicapped accessible from the street level by taking the elevator to the lobby level (2nd floor) and proceeding to the right to the room.
Hearing assistive devices
The Box Office has Listen receiver and earplugs, as well as a couple of headphones and lanyard loops for those with T-coil capable hearing aids. These devices may be obtained from the box office, to be returned at the end of the event.
